Calendar for Losing Count is an invitation to anticipate and meditate on the often disorienting and meandering course of a single year. Our days are varied–each is a small trajectory towards a new direction, accumulating spirals, u-turns, highs and lows along the way. Comprised of 365 connected individual wooden blocks, Calendar for Losing Count foregrounds the task of timekeeping as both exhausting and full of discovery. The inevitable moment of losing count becomes an opportunity to dwell upon and marvel at our ability to hold the past and the future in the present.
